1. The Indian National Congress was formed in 1884 by A.O Hume an Englishman and retired civil servant in association with various national leaders who called for a conference in pune in december 1885.
2.INC is divided into two parts one part are moderates and other part are extremists.
In moderates there were Dadabhai Naroji, A.O HUme, W.C Banerjee,etc while the extremists were Bal gangadhar tilak, Lalalajpat rai, Bipin chandrapal, sri Aurobindo ghosh.
3. The partion of Bengal came into effect on october 16 1905though a royal proclamation reducing the old province of bengal in size by creating a new province of east bengal which later became east pakistan and present day Bangladesh.
4. In Dec. 1906 All India Muslim League was set up under the leadership of Aga Khan, nawab salimullah of dacca and nawab mohsin-ul mulk at dacca.
5. In Dec1906 at calcutta the INC under the leadership of Dada Bhai Naroji adopted swaraj as the goal of Indian People.
