Tribute of Shanker jaikishan

Jaikishan of shanker-jaikishan fame passed away on september 12 1971 at the age of 39. He was handsome & hailed from Gujarat.
It was rajkapoor who bought this pair into the film world and signed them for his film Barsaat which was a hit film in those days. Rajkapoor always opted for his pair for all his films which proved to be musical hits. it was shanker-jaikishan who ended the lata-rafi s\dispute over royality issue. The two great singer then recorded first song after the dispute under his pair for the film Gaban.

All the top heroes of 1960-1970 like shammi kapoor, Rajendra kumar opted for shanker jaikishan due to thier popularity. Manoj kumar whose film were not doing well took the help of this pair for his film HARIYALI AUR RAASTA, which brought the manoj kumar into limelight. Shanker jaikishan composed independently and never interfered in each other work but divided thier renumeration equally irrespective of number of songs composed by each of them. The early death of Jaikishan deprived music lover of good soulful music.
